Nobody is Owed Mercy

In Romans 9 God declares, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy." Mercy is not something we are owed. Mercy is a gift. The mystery of to whom this gift is given by God is above our paygrade. What we know is that we are charged to put our trust in Jesus.
